She wasa member of the Peach Creek United Methodist Church whereshe served as Choir Director, organist, and pianist. Under herleadership the Choir presented numerous cantatas and plays. Sheworked with the youth and chaperoned many special tripsAfter coming to Nighbert Memorial United Methodist Churchin Logan, Mary Elizabeth served again as Choir Director, organist,and pianist. She was a loyal member of Circle III of the UnitedMethodist Women and of the Crusaders Sunday School ClassShe served on many church committees and was Secretary of theChurch Council for many years.In addition to her many church activities, Mary Elizabeth wasa world traveler. She loved bowling, and she served as secretaryto the West Virginia Bowling Association and the Logan BowlingAssociation for a number of years. She spent much time in settingup annual tournaments throughout the State, as well as helpingorganize a junior bowling league in Logan, and she participated inmany national women's bowling tournamentsMary Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all those who knew herand whose lives she touched"My heart is steadfast, Oh God. She lived her entire life in the Logan County community of Peach Creek. Mary Elizabeth's life was dedicated to service to others. She was employed by Appalachian Power Company for 45 years. She was a member of the Peach Creek United Methodist Church where she served as Choir Director, organist, and pianist. Under her leadership the Choir presented numerous cantatas and plays.
